Musical rituals in alternatives kindergartens

ABCTRACT The diploma thesis focuses on seven alternative educational systems in the Czech kindergartens environment in connection with music and musical rituals. The thesis describes the key features of these alternative kindergartens. The theoretical part of the work focuses primarily on the concept of music and musical rituals that are implemented in the given alternatives. The aim of the theoretical part of the thesis was to find out and describe these rituals from the available literature regarding the given alternatives. Qualitative research was conducted using a questionnaire survey method among teachers working in the respective kindergartens. The practical part of the thesis presents specific rituals that are implemented in alternative kindergartens. The conclusion of the research describes the contents of musical rituals and presents their sources. Celts and their influence on modern European cultures

The diploma thesis Celts and their influence on modern European cultures engages in Celtic nations, describes their history and presents remainders of Celtic culture in modern cultures. The thesis is focused on the influence of the Celts on the French region of Brittany and the Czech Republic. It mainly describes the heritage of the Celtic culture in the contemporary society in the form of Druidism, feasts, perception of nature and other traditions. It aims to create a complex image of the Celtic civilization. The second objective of the thesis is to confirm or refute the original connection of the modern Celtic cultural elements on a historical culture of the Celts. It achieves these aims on the basis of analysis, synthesis and subsequent comparison of obtained information about historical and contemporary Celts. The diploma thesis comes to the conclusion that all studied cultural elements have a real historical basis, but most of them, in their modern form, are created artificially. Nevertheless this fact does not detract from the importance of the cultural heritage of the Celts. Observance of Traditions and Customs in Bohemia and in Moravia

The dissertation Observance of traditions and customs in Bohemia and in Moravia focuses on issues of Czech and Moravian traditions, customs and holidays, namely on two important holidays Easter and Christmas. These two holidays are the most significant events of ecclesiastical year but they are favourite as well among inhabitants of the Czech Republic, in particular Christmas. Various customs and traditions are handed down from generation to generation and they occupy a significant position in people's lives. In the introduction the terms that are important for this work are explained as well as the significance of traditions and customs for culture, current situation of culture is mentioned as well. This work presents description of the two mentioned holidays in the context of Czech culture. In the second part of this work you can find comparison of selected elements with regard to particular Czech and Moravian customs. Apart from presenting of presented Easter and Christmas customs and their comparison, the work aims to define tendencies which occured and name these tendencies. In the conclusion, the findings about differences between Czech and Moravian customs are summarized and defined, the prognosis about future development of observing customs is mentioned as well. Muslim holidays

The thesis called "Muslim holidays" provides the reader with an overview of selected Islamic holidays that are frequently celebrated in the Islamic society. Its primary goal is to look into the lives of young Muslims and to compare how this generation perceives these celebrations, especially the feast of Ramadan, what factors influence their behaviour and to which extent they stick to the traditional teaching of Islam. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is a theoretical part and focuses on the origin of Islam religion and its main principles. Also, public and family holidays of Islam are introduced. Nevertheless, the main focus is on the feast of Ramadan and different aspects of its celebrations. The second, practical part comprises of qualitative research. The main methods and objectives of the research are defined in this part and also, the criteria for the choice of respondents and the respondents themselves are introduced. In the conclusion, knowledge that has been achieved is described.

Psalm 118 in the New Testament

Title: Psalm 118 in The New Testament Author: Tomáš Zavadil Department: Department of The New Testament Supervisor: doc. Jiří Mrázek, Th.D. Abstract: The purpose of my thesis is to analyze the usage of the Psalm 118 in The New Testament. The thesis consists of several parts; first, I give a list of all quotations and allusions of the psalm in The New Testament according to the edition Nestle-Aland. Next, I show links between the texts, describe how the original text enriches the meaning of the new contexts and how the intertextuality can be used in biblistic research. In contrast to traditional approach I emphasize the contribution of one-word allusions. I'm also trying to offer historical background of the Psalm and show its use in liturgy, especially in the context of the first century; as the Psalm was one of the most favourite Psalms. The following part of my work gives brief explanations of the passages in The New Testament where their authors quote or refer to the the Psalm 118. I focus especially on pericopes Mk 11,1-11 and Mk 12,1-12, where I analyze the allusions of the Psalm 118 in detail. The conclusion summarizes all findings of this exegetic work. Television Christmas - comparison of television programme offered during the Christmas feasts in last 10 years

Bachelor's thesis "Television Christmas - comparison of television programme offered during the Christmas feasts in last 10 years" target the analysis of particular genres in term of frequency and length in television programme. Special attention comes in on fairy tales, serials and news. The thesis is for example interested in the fact, if the serials don't dominate above the fairy tales or what is the frequency of broadcast news in television stations. Then the thesis solves how the television structure was formed, who controlled the prime time and which fairy tale or film won audience over. For methodology of thesis was used quantitative analysis of television programmes in prime time during the Christmas feasts 1997-2006. Bachelor's thesis is structured in 6 chapters: Theoretical introduction of thesis (show up the notions, which are keyword for the theme), Quantitative analysis of sampled television programmes (process the theme by tables and graphs, Prime time News (progress and frequency of broadcast news during the 10-years term and progress during the holidays), Serials and last chapter is Progress of fairy tales, news and serials in 1997-2006 (grand summary of three the most significance television genre during Christmas). Winter landscape painting in the works of the selected Northern European painters between 1560-1660

The diploma thesis is focused on the analysis of selected works of the winter landscape painting of the Norther European painters . Structurally, the work is conducted in such a way that it first introduces the evolution of landscape painting in the Northern Europe from 14.-16. century. In this context, three selected works are analyzed, whose scenes are set in the winter landscape. The cultural-historical context of the 16th-17th centuries is then outlined to familiarize with the circumstances of the time. century in the Netherlands. The master thesis called Winter in genre painting of the Northern European region in the 16th and 17th-century focuses with the theme of winter period performed on the works of selected artists from Northern Europe. It deals not only with her impressive atmosphere but mainly observes the habits and traditions of the ordinary inhabitants of the villages or towns what is represented on the pictures. The attention of interest is also biblical scenes connected with the Nativity of Christ or folk celebrations of Christian feats during the winter. On selected themes can further explore the forms of winter pleasures of ordinary people or hunting. Russian and Czech Christmas Folk Traditions at the Lessons of Russian Language

The diploma thesis deals with the analysis and detailed description of the basic holidays of the civil year. The theoretical part of the thesis contains the study of the most popular folk traditions, religious rituals and beliefs of the Slavs, the way how Christian church (Catholic and Orthodox) influenced on the origin of fundamental traditions and rituals. There is also a description of the way the major Slavonic holidays are held. Czech and Russian traditions are compared in order to find some basic similarities and differences between them and to analyze the development of the traditions in historical context. Such issues as language pedagogy, intercultural language competence and how to use traditions at Russian lessons at primary and secondary schools are also emphasized in the work. The practical part of the thesis deals with the analysis of some books used for teaching Russian language at Czech schools in order to find out how customs, folk traditions and holidays are described and presented. Folk crafts in Jindřichův Hradec and their use in forest nursery Live in the grass

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to introduce children of preschool education to the folkcraft, to acquaint them with the history and present of the craft and then its use in practice. The theoretical part will summarize professional information and knowledge about the topic of folkcraft in the area of Jindřichův Hradec. The next chapter of the theoretical part contains knowledge about traditions and holidays celebrated in Živě v Trávě. This section will end with theoretical information on project education. The practical part will create several practical activities for selected folkcraft. The particu-lar selection of craft types will be given mainly by my personal experience in teaching in Živě v Trávě.
